Independent Contractor Policy

Independent contractors are self-employed individuals who enter into a contractual agreement with Central Florida Care Group, Inc. to provide services to its clients in exchange for a fee.

Key points regarding independent contractor status:

• Independent contractors are not placed on the company’s payroll.

• Contractors must submit invoices or file claims with Central Florida Care Group, Inc. and will be compensated according to the Claim Processing Calendar.

• Central Florida Care Group, Inc. does not withhold federal, state, or local taxes from payments. The independent contractor is solely responsible for meeting all tax obligations.

• All income earned within a calendar/tax year must be reported by the contractor to the federal government using Form 1099-MISC.

This Provider Resource Guide is intended solely for independent contractor care providers who receive referrals through Central Florida Care Group, Inc.

Independent Contractor Income Verification

As an independent contractor, you are self-employed and responsible for verifying your business income as a business owner. Central Florida Care Group, Inc. can provide a standard (Provider) Independent Contractor Verification Letter upon request.

To ensure timely processing, please submit your request in advance. All requests will be processed within one week.
