Service Description
This is a brief description of the service DenTra Group, Inc. offered to individuals under the age of 21 with Developmental Disability (DD) or with chronic illnesses that inhibits the ability to accomplish ADLs with eligible Florida Medicaid. The Medicaid Handbook gives a more detailed description of these services.
PCS (Under 21)
Personal Care Service (under 21) provides supportive care and assists for children under the age of 21, with a Developmental Disability (DD) or with chronic illnesses. This service provides assistance with ADL's; eating, meal and preparation, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, light house cleaning and activities of daily living since these activities are essential to the health and welfare of the individual.
"(24) “Personal care” means assistance to a patient in the activities of daily living, such as dressing, bathing, eating, or personal hygiene, and assistance in physical transfer, ambulation, and in administering medications as permitted by rule."
